Today I have reached 34 weeks. Very hard for me to believe but at the same time, I am beginning to feel ready to meet baby boy #2.
The one thing that I am not looking forward to "meeting" again is the pain. Labor. Ugh!
I was induced with Will by my choosing which, I definitely will not do again. Will was definitely not ready to come out. He came at 39 weeks and 3 days. I think he could have stayed in there for another week or two and been content. I must admit, the labor in the beginning was not that bad. I could handle it. I think I was only in real intense labor for about 10 hours but that was with an epidural, that semi worked.
The pushing, now that's a different story. I started pushing around 7:30am and Will was born at 11:54am. You get the picture. It was not fun. The epidural slowly started to disappear, and they had to give me a refill of that little bugger because it got so painful! Half way through, nurse Molly realized that Will's shoulder was stuck and causing some issues of why I was struggling. Not fun. I was in so many different positions trying to get this kid out, it was ridiculous! Good thing I was not filming an episode of the Baby Story because it would not have been a pretty picture!
After all that, I did get my handsome baby boy and let's just say a REALLY bad tear. TMI...I know.
So...I can handle the labor pains, the pushing and I do not get along. My question to all you moms out there who have experienced birthing for a second time, did the kid just pop out, did you have to push forever, was it the same, or was it a totally different and maybe better experience?

I cant really comment bc I had a csection both times. Good luck! You are getting so close.
Yikes - loooong labor!
I was induced w/Bub b/c they were afraid he'd be too big for me to deliver if they let him cook any longer. I was 38wks and he was 8lbs 6oz. He was stuck briefly, tearing - yes, but I was only in labor for 6 hours.
The next one was easier. 37 wks, in labor for 4 hours, no tear, popped right out (but he was also a whole pound smaller). How big was Will?
The other two were sections and I much preferred the 'natural' births.
Well, whatever you do don't pack your bag. LOL. If you pack it, he'll stay in there until, like, 45 weeks. HAHA! ;)
I've only had one labor, but I'll be praying for an easier delivery this time.
I feel so guilty telling you that I had 2 pushes with each of my kids. Sorry! I know that's not normal!
I had a c section so I am no help good luck though I know you're excited to meet your new baby :D
Yikes, I had never thought about this before. My first was premature and came out in less than four hours of labor and only 15 minutes of pushing, but now I'm terrified that #2 is going to be totally different!
I'm always wondering how my 2nd labor will go...I'm hoping faster than the last one. Good luck to you on that as well :)
I can't really comment.. c-section but I hope it goes easier for you!
Each of mine was easier than the last. Though I was induced with my third and he was my easiest.
Much luck to you, girl!
Hey sweetie! Each of my labors got easier, I hope the same goes for you, too!
Just remember that every labor experience is different. Who knows--this baby may come out super easily!
xo
You will do great! My second birth was easier, but I think it was because I had a better idea what to expect. Also, my first daughter was almost 10 pounds. But thank goodness for the epidural! I couldn't have done it without it.
You can do it...and hopefully, it's easier this time. Iz, I pushed for 1.5 hours, Nat was like 6 minutes, two pushes! But, I think you are right, the induction makes it harder!
Hey there friend! Sorry it's been so long since I left a comment.. Hands full, ya know?! (Well, atleast you will soon!) It sounds like we had pretty similar birthing experiences with our oldest boys. I pushed for 3 hours with Aidan and had my epi refilled twice. It was awful!
With Connor I dilated quickly on my own and only pushed for 20 minutes before my little guy came out. I was so happy with my labor/delivery experience with Connor. It was everything I wished Aidan's had been.
Here's hoping that you second time around is as good as mine was! I can't believe your little guy will be here so soon! :)
I had an emergency c-section with Drew after 36 hours of labor... and was bound to have a VBAC with my Will... his labor was pretty easy... about 7.5 hours, and 1-2 of those were waiting for the epi to go down so I could feel enough to push. There is hope for you!!
