because a collage is cool!

  1. Crabby cupcakes I made for Will's 3's graduation.  They were a big hit!
  2. Eli is a little hungry and thought Will's head looked like a good snack.
  3. While I was doing dishes this little stinker thought he would look like godzilla if he put pb on his face.
  4. Will and his teachers at graduation.  They said he is such a big helper and they will miss their social butterfly!
  5. Daddy and Will caught a shark!
  6. Eli looking a tad sleepy at Will's graduation.
  7. My silly boys actually taking a picture together and laying still!
  8. Will waving to us at his graduation.  He was a tiger in the Greatest Show on Earth!
  9. Eli and the bright sun.  Can I say, I just love his little mini boden swim cover up.
That's all I got for today.  It's hot and humid here.  Eli has a bad cold.  And I am on the second book in the Shades of Grey series.  I am hooked.  Thanks to my sister.  Happy Tuesday friends.

a memory of you...

I was thinking about that night you broke your foot over two years ago this morning.  Maybe because I am bit sleep deprived, maybe because those were the days of just you and I.  There was no Eli.  I was so scared for you, and you handled it all like a trooper.

A rush to night time peds and a doctor that tried to make you walk on it.  I was a mess.  Sobbing and wishing daddy wasn't at work.  Of course you couldn't walk on it and you looked to me like, "is this man crazy?"  Yes.  He was.  Obviously didn't have kids.  I told the doctor, enough was enough.  Let's get the xray done and find out what the deal was.

You were not happy about that.  It was the first time that we had to put you in one of those papoose restraints.  Not. Fun.  Turns out it was broken.  They wrapped you up in a make shift cast for your tiny foot and the next day we would have to go to an orthopedic doctor and get the real thing on.

It was late when we got home and the doctors were concerned that you would try and take the cast off.  So, me being the paranoid first time mom, I grabbed my pillow and blanket and slept next to your crib on the floor.  A little Tylenol and you were out.  I tossed and turned all night, feeling horrible that my almost 2 year old broke his foot.  Morning came and the sun burst through your window, all the while you were looking through your crib smiling at your over protective mommy.  Having you wake up smiling, made me feel a lot better.

I know memories will come and go but this is one that I will remember forever.  I'm just glad that you will not remember that night and the next day.  Some memories are better left to mommy.

I love you always Willsy, more than air.

This Little Cutie...

  • Loves his momma.  Always smiles when I come into a room.
  • Rolls around from one end of the room to the other.
  • Loves sweet potatoes, carrots, squash, bananas, apples and anything flavored with cinnamon.  Weird.
  • Just started using a sippy cup but still is a bit unsure of it.
  • Can fit into 9-12 month clothing!
  • Weighs 20 lbs. and is 28 inches long.  He is the same size Will was at 9 months!
  • Just turned 7 months yesterday.  Where has the time gone?
  • Is on the verge of crawling or army crawling.  He can lift his torso up and move himself around in circles.  He has gotten really good at grabbing his toys in this position.
  • Is still working on sitting up.  Lew and I joke that he will be crawling before he sits up.
  • Loves his bouncer and goes crazy in it when he gets excited.
  • Loves watching his big brother play and smiles all the time at him.
  • Loves for daddy to tickle him and then he clinches up in a little ball.  It's the cutest.
  • Does really well with naps.  But, if he takes a cat nap in the car, he considers that a nap.  We are still trying to recover from vacation and the lack of naps.  However, he is still not sleeping through the night.  I have tried everything I can think of.  He usually gets two good naps a day, he eats 6oz. every 4 hours and he is now eating something at breakfast, lunch and dinner.  I put him to bed between 7-8:00 depending on how he is feeling.  It seems like after 5-8 hours of sleeping he wants to wake up and eat.  He actually eats about 6oz. too.  Everything I have read says, if he is still eating, its okay for him to be waking.  If he is not eating much then he is just wanting you.  So, I am not sure why he is still waking.  Will was sleeping through the night at about 4 months and I definitely was not consistent with his naps like I am with Eli's.  If you have any advice, I would greatly appreciate it!

Girls on The Run!

This past weekend I ran a 5k with my niece Lilly who has been training for it for the last 10 weeks.  She was part of an amazing program through her school called, Girls on The Run.  It is such an amazing program that helps motivate and encourage girls to stay fit and be proud of who they are.

I was honored that she picked me to run along side her on her first 5k.  I have to say she did amazing and I was in awe of how fast she could run!

Arriving at the race, with our tie dye shirts we made the night before.  We did purple ribbon in our hair and wore purple stripe socks.  I am hoping that she gets an award for being most creative with her outfit.  She loved it so much she is wearing it today to her award party for her running group.

Lilly pre-race with Eli.  He was hamming it up for the camera with his little vampire smile!

Walking to get our race bibs and meet up with her school.  Will thought he was running in the race too!  He loves his Lilly so much, he didn't want to leave her later that day.

There were about 10,000 people there and more than half were runners.  We had to weed through crowds on this race because of it but ended up averaging 11 minute miles.  I was pretty happy with that considering I have not done any running since having Eli because of a bum ankle.

It definitely inspired me to get back into running because I enjoyed it!  I have convinced Lew that I need to get the BOB stroller for it too!

Florida...Part 1

We were shelling and collecting lots of sand our first morning out...

Enjoying the beautiful skies and crystal blue water...

Daddy and his boys...the light could not have been more perfect...

Daddy and Eli off on a stroll...

All the while...Willsy was digging in the sand looking for shells and crabs...

And this is just the beginning...

First Day Jitters...

This definitely depicts my little, silly dude.
The class clown/social butterfly, spread his wings yesterday and started a new adventure, Pre K!
He was ready and I was a bit emotional.
Can't believe this is the same boy that clung to my leg in the 2's class.
Now, he can't wait to go and hates to leave school.
I told him I would miss him so much.  He told me, I will miss you too but don't worry, I will come back.
Needless to say, he had an amazing first day and loved every minute of it.
To many first days, and teary mom eyes, my sweet butterfly.

Love you always, more than air.

baby toes...

Still on vacation...for one more day.
