Bubsy's Food Groups . . .

I was recently inspired by Mommyologist's recent post about being a NOT Mom of the Year. In it she did a video about her son's favorite foods and it is quite funny. So go and check it out!

So I decided to take a picture of my Bubsy's favorite and sometimes only food that he eats on a daily basis.

Bananas and blueberries have to be this kid's favorite fruit, although apples do come in a close second. At picture time we had gone through all our apples.

Pasta..specifically angel hair pasta. I usually buy the whole wheat pasta and can disguise the taste with some parmesan cheese.

Wheat Thins are a new obsession of his. He loves them with cheese which of course I do not have any right now because Bubsy ate the last of it. He eats them with PB. Yesterday I caught him sitting on the couch with the whole box! He just helped himself to the pantry!

Peanut Butter. He loves it on apples of course. PBJ sandwiches on whole wheat. He has even been known to grab a spoon out of the drawer and eat the leftover PB from his apples.

Popcorn. It doesn't matter if it is completely plain. This little bubsy will eat it! He is totally obsessed with popcorn. If I let him eat it at every meal, he probably would!

Sometimes I get a bit discouraged that he eats a lot of the same things over and over. But then there are times when he surprises me and will try something new and I feel like I haven't totally let him down nutritionally.

Now it's your turn. I would love to hear what you consider your children's food groups are.

LOL! Cute. :) My kids LOVE angel hair and parm, especially Lil' Bub who flat out refuses to eat sauce on his pasta. Bubba eats/tries pretty much anything now. Lil' Bub is my picky child. Plain pancakes, peanut butter on wheat bread, chicken nuggets - that's about the extent of his menu right now.

Sounds like your little one is eating pretty healthy. Good job, mama.

Dairy and fruit. If I want him to eat anything, I better serve it with cheese or mash some fruit into it in some way. He won't touch anything else.

It might be the same but it's healthy. My child would live on dairy products alone if it were up to him. He lights up whenever he sees yogurt melts and as soon as the fridge opens, he rushes to try to grab yogurt out of the fridge. Granted, he can't yet open the yogurt but he's happy just to sit and hold it if that's as close as he can get.

I give him 6 weeks before he can pop those bad boys open...

He has some good choices there, I think I would be embarrassed with my kids favorites LOL!

My youngest will eat just about anything and everything, but my oldest is super super picky. He likes fruits, vegis, but refuses to eat meat, and then there are the days when the only thing he'll eat is crackers and banana's.

Meat, he won't touch, not even if I refuse to give him anything else :(

oo very cute! Sammy loves a lot of the same things as Will!

Bananas...he begs for them at least three times a day. Blueberries and most other fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, graham crackers. Lately, the only way I can get him to eat his greens is pureed. Whatever works, I guess!

I have a one year old, and I'm trying really hard to make sure she gets her protein, fruits, veggies, and calcium; and that's quite a task! Some days she gobbles it up, and other days, I'll only get 1 good meal in because all she wants are cheerios!

Ryan loves popcorn too! And he loves Ritz crackers, hot dogs, and pop tarts.

My kids love crackers. They go through crackers (any kind) like it is nobody's business. Izzy loves all fruit and Porgie loves popcorn.
